Check the day's suitability first
A pale denim shirt and cropped jeans are one option for an explicitly relaxed office day. Check whether denim and trainers suit the appointments you have planned. Another blouse or tailored trousers can provide an alternative when a more formal setting is needed. For the denim version, the washes need not match exactly. Decide in daylight whether to emphasise their similarity or difference. White trainers and a black shoulder bag support the colours without requiring another pattern. The workplace conditions remain more important than the outfit's casual appearance.
Wear the shirt at a desk
Sit at a table, reach forward and bend your arms. Check the cuffs and button front, especially with a firmer shirt. When tucked in, it should retain some movement room above the waistband. Worn loose, its hem should not sit awkwardly beneath you. Decide on that arrangement with the trousers. A denim combination is not automatically more comfortable simply because it looks informal. The waistband, knees and shirt shoulders need the same attention as other office pieces. Check pockets that could press during a longer seated period too.
Finish the cropped length practically
Try the white trainers with the intended socks and assess the gap below the trouser hem. Cropped legs may reveal more when seated, so choose which socks you want visible. The black shoulder bag should genuinely hold necessary papers or devices. Test the strap on the shirt so it does not keep moving the collar. Add a suitable jacket for cooler rooms or journeys. Lay out the combination with the bag included, preventing an informal day from becoming unnecessarily complicated through missing practical details. The full arrangement should feel easy to use.
